Christmas is a wonderful time of the year! But with so many friends and family to buy gifts for, it can be tough finding that perfect present. Often, parents and family members feel lost when it comes to gifts for that tech-loving family member. Don’t worry! WACD is here to help.

Computers:

If you are planning on buying a computer for someone, one thing you must consider is what they will be using the computer for. The last thing you want to happen is purchase a computer that is not powerful enough for the intended purpose. Here are a few brands that you usually will not go wrong with and will fit nearly any need.

Dell – Everyone has heard of Dell, and while some people have had bad experience, overall they make great computers at affordable prices. They have great 2-in-1 laptops which can be great option.

Lenovo – This company is less well known, but they are my personal favorite brand. They purchased IBM’s PC line a few years ago and have continued to build the ThinkPad line of computers. Lenovo computers are beautifully design and extremely well built. The Yogo line of computers are amazing as well but are bit more pricey.

Hewlett-Packard – HP was founded in 1939. Their business lines of computers are some of the best available. They also have extremely cheap computers as well, which is a great option for a starter computer.

Apple – For those who do not want to use an Windows based computer, have one option, and that is Apple. They make beautiful, but expensive computers.

 

Tablets:

Tablets are extremely useful and easy to use. They are a great options for all ages. They generally don’t get viruses and malware which is a very nice feature. So here are a few of the best options in tablets.

iPad – The Apple iPad is by far the best all around tablet. It is powerful and portable. Also, the app store offers incredibly powerful software. The other big benefit that many customers do not normally consider is that there are many many more accessories for the iPad then other tablets. An iPad can be used in replacement of even a computer.

Amazon Kindle Fire – Amazon offers millions of Kindle books at great prices, which is its best feature. The Kindle Fire is a great tablet at an amazing price. You can actually get a pretty good small tablet for $49.99. For kids and adults who want a tablet for reading, Facebook, email, and games, the Kindle Fire is a great option.

Samsung Tablets – There are tons of Samsung tablets that fit pretty much any need or want case. They can complete a variety of jobs. It is simply a matter of finding the right one. Samsung offers a wide range of prices and sizes- from 7 inches up to over 12 inches. Since Samsung sells a lot of tablets, accessories are decently easy to come by which is always a great convenience.

 

Smartphones:

There are more smartphones sold each year than any other consumer electronic. There are literally thousands of options to choose from. Where do you even start? Well, first, you must choose between either Apple or Android.

iPhone

The immensely popular iPhone pretty much sells itself. It is easy to use, powerful, and has an incredibly camera. Now, you even have multiple sizes to choose from! Usually, if in doubt, go with the standard iPhone 6S.

Android

As of last year, there were over 19,000 different android devices available. That amount of choices can be overwhelming. So, here are few different phones which are great choices. Samsung Galaxy S6 – This phone is super fast and slim and beautiful. It has a great camera and a gorgeous screen. All of the major cell phone carriers offer it as well, so it is easy to get.

HTC One M9 – HTC is less well known then Samsung, but if you want a phone that looks and feels like an iPhone except runs android, then the HTC One M9 is a great option.

One Plus X – This is a phone that is extremely underrated. It works on At&t and is an incredible. It is also an inexpensive smartphone. It is not as easy to buy as you cannot walk into many stores and find it on hand, but if you can get it, it is one of the best choices.
